About Stacey

Stacey is a freelance lighting designer and technician. She grew up in a small town called Tamworth, just on the outskirts of Birmingham. School shows were what initially sparked her interest in theatre. Stacey discovered a love for and found herself doing everything that didn’t involve performing on the stage.

With her goals set firmly within the arts, she moved on to Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) in 2012 to find her true passion: Lighting Design. Her training at BOA enabled her to establish relationships within the industry. During her time at the college, she completed a summer course in Lighting, AV and Sound at NYT, whilst maintaining her own work.

From here, during 2014 she packed up and moved again, this time to Sidcup to study BA Lighting Design at Rose Bruford College. Like her 16 year old self, Stacey simultaneously maintained employment in the industry for all 3 years of her training. This ranged from U.K tours to a long standing position in the West End. Stacey has recently designed ‘Buyer and Cellar’ at Above the Stag.  Alongside designing two show’s at Vaults Festival including; ‘Belly Up’ and ‘Miles Apart Together’

Alongside this, Stacey joined forces with two fellow graduates to form ‘Pangean Productions’ – A production house encompassing all things that are film, theatre and everything in between. She currently stands as a Company Director.
